Talsari is a beach towards the side of Orissa about 220 km from Kolkata and gave me a scope and the environment to visualize figures in their natural existence. The series is an attempt to portray figure with seascape realizing that each has its particular volume, depth, transparency, texture, perspective and composition.

The fishermen folk with rustic simplicity, totally absorbed in their work, devoting all their physical and mental energy to their daily task of catching fish and crabs, yet so dignified is their presence and existence in spite of the herd life they sustain in sorrow yet ever joyful.
